Masailand Glamour Game
Ernest Hemingway’s immortal 1933-34 safari was to Masailand, and now you can see what the country that he describes so vividly in “The Green Hills Of Africa” really looks like. Sportsmen On Film producer Ken Wilson reveals the magnificence of the Masailand Valley and its highly prized “21 day animals” (those available only on the purchase of a 21 day license) just as Papa encountered.
Ken successfully takes the three most sought-after of the Masai plains game, Lesser Kudu, Fringe Earred Oryx and Gerenuk, the “giraffe antelope.” He hunts in the Mto Wa Mbu hunting block (bonus points if you can pronounce that!) with professional hunter Peter Dafner of PD Safaris.
Other classic plains game taken include Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelles, White Bearded Wildebeest, East African impala, Kirk’s Dik-Dik and Chanler’s Mountain Reedbuck.
A great safari to an iconic African hunting land!
